Print Guide

What to print for the free base set, the settings and colors, and how it goes together. The add-on fleets have their own print lists, linked at the bottom.

Base Set v0.5.4

This list as a PDF

How to do it

  1. 1Get the files. Download the zip, or open the plates below in CubbySlicer, one for each color.
  2. 2Print each color. The plates have the settings in them. If you slice the STLs yourself, use these settings.
  3. 3Put it together with the assembly steps.

These work for every part in every fleet. The tables say which parts need supports.

Print it in CubbySlicer

Each file is one color's parts from this list, laid out on a 256 mm plate with the settings. Open one in CubbySlicer (it runs in your browser) or download the .3mf for OrcaSlicer. The by a file name in the tables opens just that file.

Putting it together

Everything press-fits, so you don't need glue or tools. The wheel is the only part you fit once and leave in.

  1. Print the fit test (ship-tolerance-test.stl in the base set) first. If a peg is loose, scale it up 0.5 to 1% in your slicer. If it's tight, sand it a bit. If it won't go in at all, your nozzle is probably too close to the bed.
  2. Print a spare cannon or two. The arm loses tension after a few hundred shots.
  3. Stretch a 10 mm rubber band or silicone cable tie around each wheel's rim and push the wheel into the slot under the stern. It should be snug but still spin, and it stays in.
  4. Plug the fittings into the deck.
  5. Slide the sails down over the masts, and a paper flag into the slot at the top of a mast.
  6. Plug a short mast into each island for its flag.

Also needed

Each player needs their faction card, some paper flags for the masts and a cloth bag for the coins.

Add-on fleets

Each one has its own print list. Their downloads have the hulls and the fleet's own parts, and the masts, cargo, cannons and wheels come from the base set above.
